Orlando, I love your writing and the beautiful personality that shines through it 🙂but any food and desire is no go for me. You are the only writer that I enjoy reading when the writing is about food and sex. I love to see you happy 🙂simple as that 🫂
Amazing to get that idea made real for once in your life, isn’t it? Especially when that person has seen the real you, even with the mud feet we all possess, that is unable to be hidden forever. Sigh. May any who have not received that gift, be granted it.
Truthfully, I did not want editing for writing. I more wanted you to decide how you felt about someone appropriating your idea, and telling their story of their same experience. And telling me if you were okay with that or wanted something changed and if so, what.
I don’t want to step on your toes.
But I am always open to constructive criticism. My ex, a published poet, is very good if sometimes way more critical than is comfortable.
Thank you. Not sure many will be allowed to read it. I am still learning to deal with a full range of emotions, seems I was stuck in analytical mode for half a century. I am still shocked that such raw emotion came out of me after reading your poem.
Off topic, do you use Facebook messenger? I am unable to figure out how to send you a private msg on Substack. I really would like you opinion on a poem.
Pears and nectarines are so sensuous. The juice spilling down my face is perfection, I eat them with abandon. No time to be polite, I bite with urgency and close my eyes.

Oh what a beautiful thing to say 🥹🥹🥹
So utterly swoon-worthy. The subtle poetry of desire, captured in a small but (probably forever) remembered moment.
Oh thankyou!!! 🥰
You are quite welcome! Truly a lovely read.
Love this: "I want her willing to give me everything. So I bring her fruit."
Orlando this made me swoon a little... Oof. Sharp knife, soft rope fruit, all the fecundity. Sweet and tender. Arg. Stop 💦
High praise, from you!! 🥰🥰🥰

Definitely appropriate. It’s okay. Use what you need as a starting point for sure 😊
